This course will help the trainees to improve their understanding of cross-cultural differences, to explore different methods of communication, and to learn how to transfer information clearly and concisely according to the needs of your audience.
In this course, trainees will learn how to develop effective skills to improve the interview process. You will learn how to develop a rapport with your subject and get cooperation, you will learn how to deal with your emotions and maintain focus throughout the interview. You will get comfortable with the techniques and tactics, and learn different strategic approaches for different types of stories.
The course explores the basic principles and concepts of oral communication in a variety of speaking formats. It develops trainee competence in speech content formation and delivery through focusing on language, style, voice, audience analysis, reasoning and communication strategy. The course also explores the effective use of visual aids in complementing speech communication.
This course provides instruction and experience in preparation and delivery of speeches within a public setting and group discussion. Emphasis is on research, preparation, delivery, and evaluation of informative, persuasive, and special occasion public speaking. Upon completion, trainees should be able to prepare and deliver well-organized speeches and participate in group discussion. Trainees should also demonstrate the speaking, listening, and interpersonal skills necessary to be effective communicators in academic settings, in the workplace, and in the community.
In this course,trainees will learn what body language is, about different emotions, how to read body language and how to use the information to your personal and career advantage. You’ll learn about cultural differences as it pertains to body language, the power of first impressions and intuition and how to ask the questions and be an active listener when you get responses.
